Welcome to Thanet Primary School Reception

Our School Day

Our busy day starts at 8:45 am and finishes at 3:15 pm. We make sure to refuel with a lovely lunch break from 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm.

Where We Learn

We have two bright, friendly classrooms inside the main building. Each class has 30 children, a teacher, and an Achievement Support Officer (ASA). Sometimes we work in our own classes, but often we open the big doors between us to learn and play as one big group!

Outside, we have our very own play area and a special covered area so we can explore in all weathers. Having 60 friends might sound like a lot, but our spaces are designed to give everyone plenty of room to build, create, talk, and play.

Family Fun

We love it when parents and carers come to visit! We regularly hold sessions where you can join in with reading, writing, and games. Every term, we also organise a session to show you what we are learning so you can help out at home. Keep an eye on our weekly newsletter for dates!

Please remember: Places are given out by the Local Authority. Even if your child comes to our Nursery, you still need to apply for a spot in Reception.
